VIDEO: imagineNATIVE 2010, DAY 1 > Welcome Reception

Things got off to a great start today with opening comments from imagineNATIVE staff and board members along with stirring performances by traditional dancers and drummers at the official Welcome Reception, held every year at Toronto’s Native Canadian Centre.

In the “live on location” videos below, we catch up to two of the many, many people working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event happen, Executive Director Jason Ryle and Vice-Chair Denise Bolduc.

  1. imagineNATIVE’s opening night was stellar!!!
The film BOY was an amazing film that deserves to be on major screens across the country. It is a sensitive humourous film that masterfully tells a story through the eyes of children while telling the same story through the eyes of a child like parent. The 1980’s, Michael Jackson, humour and pathos meet to entertain us in an honest heartfelt adventure in “hey that’s life!”
    Cheers
