MI returns to Edmonton for another LIVE show!
Barely a year and change after our last visit to Alberta’s capital city, MEDIA INDIGENA is set to return for another live audience recording in Edmonton as part of Author Pods!
Kindly hosted by the organizers of LitFest—Canada’s original non-fiction festival—we’ll be reconvening Kim TallBear, Ken Williams and host/producer Rick Harp at the downtown Yellowhead Brewery (10229 105 Street NW) this Thursday, October 3, starting at 8:30 pm. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door. (Note that Patreon supporters of our podcast are eligible for discounts as high as 25% depending on their level of support.)
And if you want to see even more of Rick at this LitFest ‘pre-event,’ he’ll be moderating another event immediately before MI’s live recording at the same venue, a sit-down with members of masinahikan iskwêwak, aka the Book Women podcast. A program “by and for Indigenous peoples who have an interest in editing, publishing, and writing Indigenous stories,” the trio of Métis/Metis women behind Book Women hope to inspire listeners to “share their stories in whatever medium that they enjoy.” That live show gets underway at 7 pm (get those tickets here).
Hope to see you there at AuthorPods!
