A member of the Kehewin First Nation (Alberta), Roberta is an experienced researcher, policy analyst and advocate for Aboriginal people’s health.
Her particular interests focus on the well-being of Aboriginal women and children. Fluent in Spanish, she has worked extensively at the national and international levels as a bridge between Canadian and Latin American Indigenous women’s organizations.
She is also a passionate advocate of Indigenous language learning, and hopes to one day become fluent in her native tongue of Nehiyawewin.
